British Council is Internationally recognized United Kingdom's
official non-profitable organization, supported by the
UK foreign office, for educational opportunities and cultural
relations. It connects people worldwide with learning
opportunities and creative ideas from the UK and build
mutually beneficial relationships between people in the

British Council was found in 1934. It receives a grant-in-aid
but operates independently from the UK government. The
Council earns additional income from teaching English,
providing examinations and managing development services.

1973 and provides services in education promotions, English
teaching, information provision and examinations. In addition,
the British Council promotes partnerships in arts, science
